Environmental care galvanizing

Environmental care galvanizing on the side of nature

This process guarantees some serious environmental care. Galvanizing, unlike preserving techniques like varnishing, is more environmentally friendly in itself, as it is the only procedure that occurs without any loss of materials. Environmental care is shown at each stage of the standard operations, for example, both the galvanizing ashes and mattes (surface rust and internal tank residues) are thoroughly collected and reused as secondary zinc ingots.

Steel is Europe’s most recycled material, its reuse percentage in the old continent rises up to 87%. Some works, such as those done in roads, are removed once they get discarded and then salvaged in bulk, in utmost respect for the global ecosystem and the environment.

Galvanizing is a form of environmental care also in its inherent meaning. A galvanized piece of metal will last longer over time, requiring less maintenance and impacting on production costs.

Compatibility and environmental care in galvanizing are also supported by the availability of raw minerals, confirmed by the discovery of large deposits that rank spelter as the 27th most available element in the planet.
