Pipe straightening machines

During the hot dip galvanizing process, steel pipes might lose their shape and straightness when internal tensions are released by the thermal shocks coming from galvanizing and quenching practices. To overcome such undesired effect and make it easier to move around and machine pipes in later process stages, Gimeco has refined over the years a specific know-how in the design of pipe straightening machines.

The pipe straightening machine is based on deformation, as pipes go through a series of special profile rolls, made of high resistant steel. The best operating conditions, such as angles and rotational speed, are either computerized controlled by a special automated software or can be based on human input on a number of specific parameters, turning the process in a semi-automatic one.

Tailored pipe handling systems mounted before or after the pipe straightening machine can seamlessly integrate it into a complex, automatic pipe galvanizing line, or make it an excellent, self standing element in any context.
