Single beam bridge crane
The single beam bridge crane is the simplest solution in its category. Usually a streamlined single hoist is attached under a central single beam and runs across it, allowing to move loads around, that would otherwise be difficult to manage with different systems. The single beam bridge crane is seldom employed in hot dip galvanizing plants, mostly because of its operational limitations: a low lifting capacity and a usually limited span. However, its light structure also brings some advantages that come with its intrinsic lightweight shape. These lifting devices are versatile in packing operations or in bays with a limited load capacity, thanks to their lightness.
They become a solution of choice when speed of movement is required and they end up providing a great cost\benefit ratio.
Single beam bridge cranes can be manufactured using a typical beam cross section or going for more complex tubular structures with reinforcing plates. All bridge cranes built by Gimeco are manufactured with the best components and can be equipped with a number of features that make operators’ job easier: double carts for longer loads, remote controls, different hooking solutions, slow starting systems that avoid dangerous swinging on the loads, etc.
