High velocity hot dip galvanizing furnaces
High velocity hot dip galvanizing furnaces are probably the most fuel efficient solution available to the market today. “High velocity” technology is largely based on the principle of turbulence as a source of heat exchange between spent gas and the kettle wall. In our own hot dip galvanizing furnace concept, we have targeted the well known issue of temperature gradients in the kettle, normally associated with the specifics of heat transfer in high velocity. Many suppliers are offering this kind of product, but no one has been able to innovate it radically like we did.
Our high velocity galvanizing furnace has been designed and engineered around an horizontal split combustion chamber: in such dual chamber concept, the separate high and low areas are finely controlled so that molten metal management does not imply negative effects on the galvanizing process. The end result is complete control over floating dross.
Dual chamber high velocity hot dip galvanizing furnaces are already operational at several locations, where galvanizers can already benefit from gas consumption reductions, long kettle life and unprecedented quality standards in the finished galvanized product.
